Teacher Aide - Fixed Term position

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young learners? Mihi School is seeking an energetic, compassionate, and flexible Teacher Aide to join our dedicated team for Term 4 this year.

This role focuses on providing focused classroom support and working directly with students to help them thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.

Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside teachers to support individual students.

• Help implement tailored learning programs and classroom activities.

• Encourage student independence, confidence, and positive engagement.

• Maintain a patient, safe, and inclusive learning environment.

Working Hours & Schedule

• Hours: Part-Time (5 hours per week, primarily Thursday & Friday, with potential for additional hours) fixed term contract - finishes Monday December 14, 2026. Start date determined upon return of clean Police Vet.

• Days: Positioned primarily across Thursday and Friday.

• Flexibility: Opportunities for additional hours depending on school needs and program funding. We appreciate flexibility to accommodate varying schedules when required.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred 

• Excellent communication skills and a team-player attitude.

• Patience, reliability, and a strong sense of initiative.

• A supportive approach.
