School Values

During 2024 we gathered community voice to reconstruct our school values. There were many values that were chosen which were synonyms of each other, making the choice to use Māori concepts easier as they have a deeper sense of meaning to cover what we believe our young ākonga need to be able to develop into loving, respectful and hard working rangatira of the future. 

Values are how we act and behave in everyday life.

Our school values and learning collaboratively together allows everyone at Mihi School to head in the same direction. Our school values, we feel, will support all tamariki throughout their lives no matter where they are or who they become. Our values support our vision of "Growing Great People - Te tipu o ngā tangata nunui" 

Our values are used everyday through lessons, actions, and as part of our behavior management and reward system.
